So much humping.

Just hiking everywhere.  Eesh.  I was speaking to Miss Ventura today and she mentioned how happy she was that it was Hump Day.  Now, of course, being ELEVEN YEARS OLD, my first instinct was to go, “He.  Camels.”  Then I began to think of the usage of the word, ‘hump’.  Webster-Merriam online defines hump as thus,

Definition of HUMP

transitive verb
1
often vulgar : to copulate with
2
: to exert (oneself) vigorously
3
: to make humpbacked : hunch
4
chiefly British : to put or carry on the back : lugalso :transport
intransitive verb
1
: to exert oneself : hustle
2
: to move swiftly : race
What a diverse word.  So many uses.  And to think that NBC completely forbid Laugh-in to use it on air at all (it’s why in between commercial breaks, they’d have a random celebrity just say, “camel”).   When I was in the army, “a hump” stopped being funny and I promise NO snickers ensued after hiking for four hours.  The middle of the week is something people in M-F 9-5s can’t wait for.  Sometimes it seems almost more than Friday (okay, not really).  A few years ago, Hump Day for me was also synonymous with VGN.  Video Game Night.  That was always held at Stupidman’s house and typically involved lots of food, video games and the occasional orgy (you decide whether to believe that or not).  Now, I prefer to use the full word, ‘hunchback’, as it’s descriptive and somewhat literary, but ‘hump’ works just as well in that situation.  And also, if you try to use any other word than ‘hump’ to describe a camel’s fat back, you just sound silly.  Now, granted, the usage of it in matters related to intercourse are a bit crude.  But typically, very funny.  So hat’s off to the word, “HUMP” today.  You’ve earned it.

This totally explains teen pregnancy.
